The ConventionEvent branding for a national debate series

The Convention is a themed series of open debates designed to enlighten the nation and encourage new thinking. Guided by the founding principle “Think Anew, Act Anew” (Abraham Lincoln), the series brings people together to discuss, inform, and shape the future of Britain.





The visual identity was created to communicate clarity, authority, and openness. A simple, lowercase humanist font was chosen for the logo to convey a classic yet approachable tone. Quote mark graphics were used throughout the branding to reinforce the concept of dialogue and debate, serving as a flexible device across wayfinding, signage, and event display materials.

Since the inaugural two-day public debate addressing Brexit and the political landscape, the branding has successfully scaled across multiple events. Now in its fifth iteration, The Convention’s identity has proven effective, respected by the public, press, and speakers, and provides a consistent, recognizable framework that supports meaningful discussion and engagement.
